Service

Fuller Engineering Design works with the client to ensure that the benefits of following concurrent engineering design practices are also carried into the important area of documentation.

Document Requirements

No matter how good the design, the successful introduction of the product or system into service is highly dependent on the suitability of the Sales Documentation used in marketing and the Technical Documentation supplied to the end-user.  High quality sales documentation is required to ensure that the sales team are fully conversant with the product and that customers appreciate the desirability of ownership.  High quality Technical Manuals are required for any end-user to be able to successfully put the product into use and to operate it throughout its life cycle.

Concurrent Document Tasks

During the embodiment and detail design phases the following technical documents should be produced:-

  •     Description
  •     Performance Specifications
  •     Health and Safety Information
  •     Installation Instructions
  •     Operating Instructions
  •     Maintenance Instructions
  •     Spare parts Lists.
  •     Repair and Overhaul Instructions

If 3D solid modeling techniques have been used then the following items can be incorporated into documentation and used for sales and marketing:-

  •     Photo realistic 3D images
  •     Exploded assembly drawings
  •     Animated electronic drawings
  •     Exportable web drawings
